Each year Dreamflight takes 192 children (all with a serious illness or disability) to Orlando for 10 days. The trip gives them a chance to discover independence, confidence and a new outlook on life. This project would fund theme park tickets for 6 of the days for all 192 children.

Situation
Unfortunately, there are too many deserving children across the UK suffering with a serious illness or disability; many also living in difficult financial circumstances. Often they are cared for 24 hours a day by their families and carers and rarely get to experience the things that other children can. Aside from the pain and discomfort of their illness, they often feel alone or the 'odd one out' a sense that stays with them throughout their entire life. Dreamflight aims to change that.
Solution
Dreamflight aims to help these children realise their potential by doing something that medicine can't: give confidence, independence and a huge amount of fun. With the help of our team of volunteer doctors, physios and other volunteers we take the children (without parents) on a 'holiday of a lifetime'. They meet others in similar situations, often develop lifelong friendships and experience the thrills of the theme parks of Orlando: all during our 10 day trip.
