This project will address Food Poverty in some Nigerian communities. Over 2.3 million people in Adamawa, Borno, Yobe, and most recently, Benue state are currently facing severe food shortages as a result of insurgent's activities. We will be feeding 1,600 families for 5days in December 2023.

Situation
According to a 2021 study, 309,231 people were displaced in the Middle Belt of Nigeria due to violent attacks on communities by terrorist forces. People have been driven away from their homes and their farm lands have been overtaken by terrorists. Road blocks in some cities (eg. Kaduna) have also inhibited food transportation. Families have to trek long distances to access food and even when they get, it is malnourished and insufficient. Also, families are selling children for income to feed
Solution
PSJ UK would help to address this problem by doing the following; 1. Providing food packages such as rice, maize, millet, beans, yam and tomato paste in quantities enough to relief 1,600 families of hunger during the Christmas festive period in December 2023. 2. Raising awareness of the food poverty situation in Nigeria in order to highlight it and draw attention for more support to tackle the insecurity crisis.
