We're raising funds to expand our Community Groups to be able to continue to meet the need & demand for these. Situation

1 in 4 women aged 16-59 will experience domestic abuse in their lifetime. Many are also mothers whose children who have either witnessed, or directly experienced, domestic abuse. There are several forms of domestic abuse, and education around this is not always easily accessible. It’s possible that someone may not realise they’re living with domestic abuse due to some forms of abuse, while no less traumatic or significant, being less overt and harder to identify or recognise.

    Solution

Running more free-to-access community groups, providing education and support for women. Making them as easily and widely accessible as possible, and so enabling more people in need to engage with our services. Running groups in-person, online, at different times throughout the day, with dyslexic friendly handouts, and the option to bring a support worker if needed, increases accessibility for women with children, work commitments, disabilities, and financial or travel related restrictions.
