Afghanistan is currently the worse place in the world to be a woman and the only country in the world to forbid girls from seeking an education. Women are being systematically excluded from civic life, given such limited freedoms that for the most part they're stuck at home. Women's education is vital to achieving equality, but this will only be possible if the world stands behind them and supports their chance to learn.

RT is one of the few local / International NGOs still working in Afghanistan. We are uniquely Afghan-led and women's higher education specialists, especially for women from rural areas. Due to our strong connections, local knowledge, and small size, we are agile and can operate under the radar. With our Afghan partners, we continue to provide university education and support community learning in local villages. We aim to expand and empower more women to bring positive change to Afghanistan.
