Our Volunteer Mentoring Project Supports 65 young people every year, aged 11- 25 facing tough challenges including: Family breakdown, bereavement, isolation, experience of domestic violence, a parent or family member in prison, experience of being in or leaving care. We are the only charity providing community mentoring for children and young people experiencing disadvantage in our area. Our volunteer mentoring is oversubscribed, we can only work with 1 in 7 young people who are referred to us.

Young people are referred to us by by schools, families, and social care professionals. Our Volunteer Mentoring Project matches young people with a trained adult volunteer who gives them the space to feel safe, respected, heard and valued. Often young people do not have these kinds of safe and supportive spaces elsewhere in their lives. It can help young people understand and overcome underlying difficulties, improve key relationships, engage with education, and maximise their potential.
