    Situation

Government data shows young people’s exposure to drugs is increasing as is the number using drugs. Social media is increasingly making access to drugs easy and normalising use. UK drug deaths have continued to rise. Drug and alcohol education is vital for all young people, to enable them to face choices about drugs safely, but there’s a huge lack of accessible, effective, evidence-based resources and support for schools, parents and professionals, making them more at risk of coming to harm.

    Solution

Our multi-component approach to drug education involves young people, parents, teachers and professionals, and a range of methods to give the information and life skills needed. Our vision is to support young people to make safer choices and reduce harm, through increasing their understanding of the effects and risks of drugs, and improving their skills and resilience. During academic year 22/23 we have spoken to over 40,000 young people – and the demand continues to grow.
