Through our theatre-going and theatre making activities for schools, families and community groups, we’ll support vulnerable and marginalised young people to develop skills, think about their futures, and feel empowered and inspired by new experiences, hobbies and friends.

In October 2022, the Audience Agency reported that 90% of families planned to reduce spending on entertainment such as theatre to meet their essential household needs. For young people from low-income households, this means missing out on the social, educational and wellbeing benefits of theatre and drama. With theatre more out of reach than ever, the gap between young people who can access these enriching activities and those who can’t will continue to grow.

Through our affordable theatre-going, making and performing activities for schools, families and community groups, we will make theatre accessible for young people experiencing disadvantage. We’ll support them to develop skills they may otherwise miss out on due to a lack of affordable and accessible opportunities, such as confidence, communication and teamwork. We’ll support them to try new things, make new friends, express themselves and discover new talents and passions.
