PANS & PANDAS are devastating neuropsychiatric conditions which strike seemingly out of nowhere, causing sudden severe changes in children following infection. Winters are particularly hard for families living with these life-changing conditions. We need your help to ensure no family faces it alone.

The increased circulation of common infections during winter months puts young people with these conditions at elevated risk of experiencing a relapse of neuropsychiatric symptoms. When this happens, many children are no longer able to attend school and families find themselves stripped of their usual social and support networks. Often parents must take on a greater care role and can no longer work which increases financial strain. Support is crucial to help them navigate these difficulties.

Through online and in-person support groups, we will encourage connections, allowing families to share experiences and provide emotional support. We will share patient information and resources with our community, both digitally and in print, to help improve understanding and reduce anxiety. We will work to unite this community of people who feel isolated and alone, helping them to be more resilient and better-informed in the face of the difficulties these life-changing illnesses bring.
