We’re always looking to improve our animals’ welfare. Built in 2000, our facilities are fast becoming outdated. To provide the best quality of care and aid quicker healing, we need separate recovery spaces for both cats and dogs. Limited private spaces means emotional pet handovers are done openly, causing stress to animals and owners. We’re also reliant on open spaces for adoptions; when unavailable, our ability to schedule appointments is severely reduced, meaning longer stays for animals.

Join us in our £1 million capital project to transform BCDH! This year, we have an opportunity to renovate these areas while fixing our roof. Separate recovery rooms will be created so that animals have a safe space to relax and recover post-medical treatment. Dedicated private spaces will be provided for handovers and adoptions, ensuring we can handle these delicate situations with the best care.
