Medic 50 is Lincolnshire’s only dedicated East Coast Critical Care Car. It brings the Trauma Centre to patients in need of urgent Critical Care. On board are medics and doctors with blood products and equipment to sustain life before a patient can be safely transported to hospital, by land or by air

When someone is in need of urgent critical care on our east coast, ambulance response times can be double the national average and the nearest Major Trauma Centre is many miles away, outside the county. Medic 50 is based on the coast and operates at times of peak demand, when other resources are limited. Funded entirely by donations, we need support to attend additional call outs this winter.

LIVES' Critical Care Team are doctors and paramedics who perform lifesaving interventions at the side of the road, including open-heart surgery or emergency caesarean sections. Working alongside the ambulance service, Medic 50 fulfils a vital niche in our chain of response by bringing advanced skills and equipment to scene.
