It’s estimated that 58,993 children in Kent live in households where there is a prevalence of any of the so called ‘toxic trio’; domestic abuse, mental health problems or substance dependency. Many of these children lack access to the help they desperately need to prevent permanent school exclusion, family breakdown or mental health challenges. The most recent statistics show that Kent has one of the highest school exclusions rates in England.

Health, education and social care services face huge financial pressures and aren’t always the right solution for struggling children: Dandelion Time fills this much-needed gap. The service is considered a critical and effective intervention to help children overcome complex difficulties and re-engage with education, community and family life.
