Help us build a community of organic growers to halt biodiversity loss. Our 15 million UK gardens cover the total area of National Nature Reserves. If they were managed sustainably and organically, it could change our landscape & make big improvements to biodiversity, food security & climate change.

Our biodiversity is in crisis. Biodiversity is in decline in all its forms, from genes & bacteria to ecosystems – from small gardens & allotments to community growing spaces, peatlands & forests. Global wildlife populations have plummeted by 69% on average since 1970, with the main drivers being human use of land & climate change. But gardening skills such as food growing & seed saving are not passed on the way they used to be - & many people don’t know where to turn for reliable advice.

Organic gardening leads to increased biodiversity. Studies show following organic gardening principles leads to increased biodiversity & local species richness. Your donations will allow more people to access our unrivalled 65-years of accessible, organic gardening expertise, giving them the know-how to cultivate seasonal, organic produce with no food miles, plastic packaging, peat or pesticides – & create a patchwork of thriving green communities embracing eco-friendly practices.
