    Situation

The programme ensures accessibility to participants who may face social and economic barriers, or obstacles related to health and disability that may prevent them from being able to take part in similar courses elsewhere, due to the additional support they require. Chickenshed’s trainers and mentors are highly experienced in working in an inclusive way that supports young people with additional needs, so every individual can participate fully and reach their potential.

    Solution

This project will engage over 480 children and young people from London boroughs, many of who wouldn’t normally get an opportunity to step up into roles in theatre. They will receive training, mentorship, guidance and support, enabling them feel confident that a future career as an inclusive creative leader is not only a possibility for them, but that they could thrive in any role they choose.
