27% of state-educated pupils are classified as disadvantaged. Pre-pandemic, disadvantaged pupils we're already academically 18 months behind their more affluent peers. The pandemic amplified this gap to its widest point in a decade. Disadvantaged pupils have as much will and determination, but often lack access to the resources and tools that help them achieve. Without success in maths and English exams, their ability to access to opportunities in education and employment is greatly limited.

Working in partnership with schools, we support primary and secondary pupils recognised as disadvantaged to unlock their infinite potential by providing impactful maths and English tutoring programmes. Through weekly one-hour sessions, our brilliant volunteer tutors use high-quality Action Tutoring resources to help pupils build their subject knowledge, confidence, study skills and growth mindset, increasing their chance of success in maths and English exams and opening doors to their future.
