To deliver Empowerment through Self-Defence and Undefining Masculinity Workshops free of charge to around 1000 students from communities with economic challenges. Under-employed young people will be upskilled to co-deliver the workshops offering a peer-to-peer mentoring approach.

Girls are raped, sexually assaulted and sexually harassed at school, put under emotional pressure; and denied the equal rights to learn in a dignified environment. The Girlguiding Girls’ 2021 Survey found that 67% of girls and women between 13-18 years old have experienced sexual harassment at school from another student and almost a quarter have been subjected to unwanted physical touching of a sexual nature. Schools can play an important role by delivering prevention education workshops
The projects aim is to support long term systemic change to end VAWG by addressing gender inequality, a root cause of VAWG. This will be achieved by delivering prevention education workshops in schools to students from minorized communities A Train the Trainer Programme - upskilling youth and young adults to deliver our programmes Empowerment through Self-Defence and; Undefining Masculinity Workshops using a ‘whole schools’ approach’.
