At Christmas, there are plenty of creative activities on offer for children. In contrast, adults are sadly underserved amidst the Christmas pantomimes. Oxford needs a Christmas show for grown-ups which engages the public with high-quality, accessible artistic work and recognises different stories, and complex lives. And one which supports artists to produce and share new writing at a time when many are struggling.

Our Christmas show is invaluable. It is fun, creative and different – and that has always been our strength in Oxford. It is a moment of celebration for who we are and everyone who comes through our doors. Our Christmas shows are about the joy and the messiness of Christmas, whilst also acknowledging that Christmas can be a difficult time for many. It is a chance for us to reach new audiences and create dialogues with people who are unlikely to engage with artistic work year-round.
