The huge disparity of care for HG throughout the UK, especially within minority groups and hard to reach communities. HG stats •Over 50% consider terminating a wanted pregnancy. •10% do terminate. •25% report suicidal ideation. •Almost 70% are bedridden, needing daily extra support. •47% signed off sick had not received pharmaceutical treatment. The lack of knowledge and understanding throughout the healthcare profession contribute massively to these statistics, leaving women feeling in despair
•Outreach work in the community to ensure those who need support know the pathways to access care & treatment. •Create community groups & collaborating with established groups to deliver more targeted support to disadvantages demographics. •Attend medical conferences, educate HCPs on the suffering of women with HG •Offer additional support & training to primary and secondary healthcare settings who are known to give poor care. •Informative campaigning & government petitioning.
