We are seeing a constant increase in contacts to HOPELINE247 year on year, with the service now available 24/7 365 days a year we need to make sure we are there for our young people all over the UK.

Suicide is the biggest killer of young people in the UK. Every year around 1800 people under the age of 35 take their own lives, with thousands more contemplating suicide afraid to speak our. With each new case we hear about it becomes more clear that there is a huge issue with our young people and their mental health. NHS services are not readily available so our job is to open up conversations around suicide, so those suffering feel able to reach out and ask for help.
Solution
Last year HOPELINE247 had over 98,000 contacts from people in crisis needing help, that's over 265 people every day who are brave enough to reach our for the lifesaving support that we give. PAPYRUS is the only national charity dedicated to the prevention of young suicide and positive mental health in young people. We support, equip & influence communities through HOPELINE247 & our training & education sessions.
