    Situation

Migraine is a painful and debilitating brain disorder affecting 10 million people in the UK. It's the third most common disease in the world affecting more than those living with diabetes, asthma and epilepsy combined. It has significant impacts on work, relationships and mental health, and the charity is seeing an increase in the number of long, emotional calls to our helpline. Everyone needs to receive the treatment and care that enables them to have the quality of life they deserve.

    Solution

As awareness of the charity has risen we are seeing increases in people reaching out, resulting in large numbers still struggling to access the support they need. We will provide support to at least 4,000 people via phone/live chat/webchat and email in addition to 4,000 people via in person and online Manage Your Migraine events, all of which will help them to better manage their migraine. Everyone we support either has migraine themselves (typically 85%) or lives with someone who does.
