Safe Passage help refugee children to reach a place of safety, by assisting them with legal casework and arrivals support so they can reunite with family via a safe route. We also campaign for a more compassionate asylum process, and run an award-winning youth advocacy group for young refugees.

We work with children who have been forced to flee their homes because of war or persecution. Many have become separated from, or lost, their parents and end up making dangerous journeys alone, hoping to reach other family members who live in the UK. With few options to reach their family safely, many feel forced to risk their lives on solo journeys across Europe or crossing the Channel. Recent crises in Ukraine, Afghanistan and Sudan have further highlighted the desperate need for safe routes.

Safe Passage addresses this problem by assisting child refugees with essential legal casework, visa advice and arrivals support to help them access a safe way to reunite with family, without risking their lives travelling alone across Europe. We remain agile enough to respond to crises; recently setting up projects to assist those fleeing Ukraine and Afghanistan to access legal advice and assistance. Lived experience will drive forwards our campaigns and advocacy work calling for safe routes.
