Situation
We believe no child should have to fight for a safe and happy childhood. UNESCO’s latest data suggests there are 240 million children still out of school across the world. Millions in Africa are denied an education as they are living in poverty, on the streets, or caught up in conflict or natural disasters. For those with disability, even living at home can threaten their freedom. Through access to safe spaces and inclusive education we can ensure that every child can play, learn and thrive.
Solution
We are experts in safer spaces and inclusive education for children in vulnerable situations in a Sub-Saharan African context. We recognise the intersectionality of the challenges many different vulnerable situations children face and adopt an inclusive approach to our work which allows our programmes to address all the issues faced by each individual child to create sustainable and meaningful change.
