Founders4Schools works towards closing the skills gap by supporting educators to provide inspirational career education to students. Our volunteer role models share their career stories to better inform young people about the world of work so they make better decisions about their future careers.

Situation
Young people, particularly from less advantaged backgrounds, miss out on essential careers education about high growth sectors/jobs. Research shows aspirations are strongly correlated to knowing someone who works in a related job, where you live, your school or your personal connections. Likewise, employers miss out on opportunities to employ talented young people, either because they are not recruiting from a diverse enough talent pool or perceive that young people do not have the right skills.
Solution
Founders4Schools addresses help facilitate access to career education among young people, especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds. We support educators to connect with role models from the world of work to enrich career education and offer work experiences to prepare young people for their successful transition into the workforce.
