Over 100,000 children in the UK live with a serious illness or exceptional health need. These children face severe disruption to their lives due to frequent medical appointments, hospital stays, and long periods recovering at home. Their wellbeing is affected by isolation, often missing out on experiences that healthy children take for granted. We also welcome siblings of a child with serious illness as they are also affected: 92% of the siblings we serve take on caring responsibilities.

Attending a transformational camp allows seriously ill children to leave their worries at the gate. Through fully accessible physical and creative therapeutic activities, they regain some of their childhood. They laugh, dance, and make friends in a fun and relaxed space. A team of volunteer doctors and nurses provide first-class medical care, ensuring a safe environment for more than 130 different conditions. The experience increases children’s confidence, self-esteem and hope for the future.
