There is a need to ensure young people stay safe, engaged, and inspired to avoid the tragic crossover of gang crime and grooming. We have been working within the social housing backgrounds of Camden, there is a huge problem in the early teenage years in which young people are being groomed, used for drug running, carrying knives, and being used to work for their elders. We know this is one of London's hardest problems to tackle as numbers are growing and the ages are getting even younger.

We have been working with young people in this age group and have been talking with the young people we fear are in danger of being groomed for gangs. We know they need a positive outlet; they need to realize their own identity and to have ownership of a creative project in which they feel proud. Young people at this age need to be constantly involved in, but a project that they want to do and will enjoy as this is the only way to keep engaged which will in time educate to gainful employment.
