Owing to the ongoing lack of progressive music educational opportunities in schools, students who are passionate about music need to pay if they want to further their studies. Not all families are in a position to offer such financial help. FYM bursaries allow all talented young Londoners access to a high-quality music education, regardless of family background, situation or means to pay.

By providing financial support for students who would otherwise be unable to attend CYM every Saturday and benefit from a high quality music education - which includes a variety of different musical genres & activities : individual lessons on chosen instruments, playing in ensembles, bands and orchestras including London’s premier youth orchestra, the LSSO, singing in choirs, composing their own music, and learning general musicianship skills and about the wider aspects of performing arts.
