Across the sectors we exist in, people with “lived experience” of homelessness continue to be a minority, even when the decisions being made impact their lives directly. The Associates Leadership Programme has been designed specifically to redress this representation imbalance, enabling a new generation of leaders & creatives with lived experience of homelessness to bring influence, and vision to the sector and build professional careers

Our aim is to equip 8 Associates (all with experience of homelessness) with the skills & confidence to bring about their own positive change to people, projects & policy in homelessness through arts & creativity. Associates will act as ambassadors for AHI through the year and signal the value of lived experience & co-creation more broadly through the sector. The programme will diversify the pool of homeless leaders & change-makers and strengthen connections between homeless & arts communities.
