Young refugees who arrive alone often struggle with complex psychological issues as a result of their experiences (fleeing war and terror, leaving their home behind, a difficult journey, no support network on arrival, and having their age disputed.) When left untreated they not only suffer from depression, PTSD and anxiety, but their integration into life in the UK, their education and their claim to asylum is made much harder.

We are there for them. We provide extensive support in relation to their protracted asylum claims and welfare needs. We advise them on the different processes and accompany young people to meetings with solicitors and social workers, at which we advocate on their behalf. We support with issues including any difficulties with foster placements, and securing places in schools or colleges. We deliver specialist children’s therapeutic services to help overcome trauma, and youth development projects.
