As a community arts venue, our ambition is to break down barriers to accessing the arts. With your help, we will open up our music projects to more children in Lewisham and Greenwich, engaging them through activities including workshops in schools & taking live events out into the community.

Arts subjects in schools are in decline & access to the arts is increasingly unaffordable for many. This is detrimental to people’s mental health, well-being & sense of belonging. It is vital that as a community venue, we provide creative opportunities for people of all ages & backgrounds. With increasing participant demand as well as rising costs for our annual Take Part programme, we are anxious to find ways to continue this work.
We will build stronger links with local hard-to-reach schools through participatory sessions in collaboration with local Music Hubs. This will help ensure that young people from all backgrounds are able to benefit from access to our opera, gospel & Youth Choir projects. By offering a wide range of performances both inside and outside our venue, we will help break down barriers to accessing the arts.
