Dementia is a degenerative condition that can have a devastating effect and - as yet - there is no cure. A diagnosis is often accompanied by the perception that people are no longer able to contribute to society and consequently can be marginalised. The outlook for people with the condition and their carers is often bleak, with limited resources available to support and alleviate the consequences of the condition at all stages of the dementia journey. This is where Forget-me-not Chorus comes in.

Whenever and wherever we meet, FMNC sessions provide a safe, supportive and nourishing place to make friends and share experiences. We create singing communities where joy and laughter are the norm, providing a weekly escape from the relentless everyday caring routine. By offering a meaningful artistic platform to express the experience of living with dementia, we educate others and challenge stigma, sharing our choristers' voices with the wider community to show what can be achieved.
