Kairos Women+ is a community-led women’s organisation, driven by love and inclusion and grounded in lived experience. We bring women and non-binary people together to influence their community through support groups, creative spaces, campaigning projects and informal advocacy.

Beneficiaries
Refugees, migrant women+ & those seeking asylum are regularly discriminated against, which is further compounded by racism. We want to see a Scotland where women+ are welcomed, supported and included so they have every opportunity to flourish in their new home. We know the immigration system is complex and traumatising, and the humanity of the our women+ is often ignored. Our women+ benefit from access to specialist services, cooking facilities and a loving community to support their wellbeing.
Kairos Kitchen is our cross-cultural recipe sharing project for Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic women+, particularly those who have migrated to Renfrewshire. The money would enable us to continue the project for another year (April-March 25) & deliver two 10-session blocks as well as community meals open to the wider community. Women+ tell us that this project improves their mental health, provides a sense of community as a New Scot & promotes connections between women+ from different cultures.
