The Breastfeeding Network is a charity of women for women. With your donation our highly trained members will reach women living in deprived areas, lacking health and education services. We will take our breastfeeding information, education, training and support to women in areas that need it most.

We know from the National Infant Feeding Survey that 8 out of 10 women stopped breastfeeding before they wanted. Women say that more support in their communities and from health professionals would help them to continue. Women in areas of deprivation face many more barriers to breastfeed as they want to and services often do not respond to the additional pressures on their time and budgets. Women in these areas lack the infant feeding information and support they need, when they need it most.

BfN volunteers have lived experience of breastfeeding and quality-assured training in infant feeding support. BfN are trusted nationwide to deliver services, responding to women’s needs and priorities. We offer information, education, breastfeeding friendly schemes and training for women to support other women. Our services are vital and free of charge, but must be paid for! With your help, we will reach more women in the most deprived communities, so they can feed their babies as they want.
