Women & Girl's who have experienced Domestic Abuse and/or Sexual Violence can take many years to come to terms with the mental health impact of this significant trauma. They struggle to explore and express their emotions, leaving them vulnerable and feeling undervalued, underprivileged, unheard and unseen. This can lead to destructive coping behaviours, such as self-harm, substance abuse, depression and suicide.

Providing art workshops tailored to the needs of Domestic violence survivors allows Women and Girl's to explore their emotional and mental wellbeing in a safe environment. The workshops/materials will allow the opportunity for individuals to express themselves in a creative way and celebrate their individuality. They will interact with other women and girls with a shared experience, developing healthy coping methods through the recognised therapeutic impact of art.
