Pregnancy and early motherhood is a challenging time for many women. 1 in 5 mothers will experience a mental illness and sadly suicide remains the leading cause of death during this time. Without appropriate support, these difficulties can have a long-lasting impact on the mental and physical health of women and their babies. The pandemic made support harder to access just as rising living costs are tipping more families into crisis: this has led to a 156% increase in demand for our help.

We will offer accessible early support to women during pregnancy & the early years to reduce stress, build self-esteem & nurture the parent-infant bond. We will offer weekly support from a peer volunteer with additional training in perinatal mental health who will offer practical & emotional support in the home as well as supporting families to access our groups & classes. Our groups & classes allow families to access advice, guidance & education from professionals while building new friendships
