We support over 550 women per year who report various mental health and wellbeing issues as follows: 87% feel isolated 69% feel low in confidence 84% feel anxious 71% feel depressed 65% feel stressed 32% suffer from PTSD 26% self-harmed within the previous 12 months 51% had suicidal feelings within the previous 12 months 17% made a suicide attempt within the last 12 months 46% were a victim of domestic abuse The current cost of living crisis is increasing demand for mental health support.

We would like to provide additional opportunities for women to come together to reduce social isolation and improve their mental health and wellbeing by offering a range of social and therapeutic interventions within our Centres. These interventions will be led by a Mental Health & Wellbeing Worker who will provide light touch mental health support during activities and women will be able to access peer support from others in the groups.
