We've outgrown our current premises. To meet increasing demand for our counselling services from people with eating disorders and eating distress, we need to move to bigger premises with more counselling rooms to support more people. We're raising money towards our Big Move.

Around 1.25 million people in the UK have an eating disorder. Eating disorders are serious mental health conditions; anorexia has a higher mortality rate than any other mental health disorder. The average duration of an eating disorder is 7-10 years but early identification and intervention can drastically improve the chances of a full recovery. At EDNE we use the term eating distress because we work with anyone with a disordered relationship to eating, with or without a medical diagnosis.
EDNE offer specialist counselling for clients age 16 and above, group work and training and education to support early identification and support. Our counselling is free to clients and offered both in person and online. Our counselling model is person-centred, we look at each client's eating problems holistically and in the context of their life story. Central to our ethos is a focus on the person as a unique holistic individual, capable of reaching their full potential.
