We are raising funds to provide low cost long term counselling (LTC) specifically for BAME, peri-natal and low income women (earning below £20,000). Mental health problems and poverty go together, so we aim to help vulnerable women improve their mental health by providing long term counselling.

The pandemic caused a mental health crisis for women with BAME women and women on a low income suffering disproportionately. Women experienced increased levels of mental distress and domestic violence, causing depression and anxiety. We would like to provide 200, £1-£5 cost, counselling sessions to peri-natal, low income (under £20,000 p.a.) and BAME women. We have a waiting list of potential clients who have previously used our short term counselling service, via the NHS which is free. We will also recruit clients externally, advertising via social media and our website, and via our networks such as Solace Women’s Aid. Done
