Suicide&Co is a national charity supporting those bereaved by suicide, providing free bereavement counselling and a helpline run by counsellors. The funds from this campaign will allow us to reduce our waitlist and provide over 300 counselling sessions, directly impacting people bereaved by suicide.

Situation
Bereavement in all forms can be traumatic; however, suicide adds a complex range of emotions. Suicide loss can be isolating due to stigma, and individuals are often left to navigate this complicated grief alone. Professional counselling can greatly reduce the risk of further mental health issues. 34,000 people are newly bereaved by suicide each year, and each month the demand and our waitlist increases. Our community need our support and would benefit from less of a wait to access our service.
Solution
Counselling and talking about your grief in a confidential setting and being supported through the complex emotions that come with suicide loss is a cathartic process. Our vision is to provide timely and effective support and we need the funds to meet the demand. We are growing our counselling team to increase capacity to facilitate more sessions, so wait times will be reliant only on funding. This funding will allow us to reduce the waitlist and provide more people with life changing support.
