    Situation

Vulnerable people living in poverty or facing a crisis can get support to resolve practical issues but many also experience isolation, unemployment, homelessness, domestic violence etc. contributing to poor mental health. Help to resolve problems might be available but they need help to recover their spirit, their wellbeing, their resilience if any of this is to work and last. Without an improved outlook, problems worsen, resolutions are meaningless and ineffective.

    Solution

As well as providing practical help to enable families to get back on their feet after a crisis, Zink will offer activities and services that improve mental health and wellbeing. These include subsidised community meals so foodbank users get to eat hot food; music lessons, crafts, games and physical activity to bring people together, have fun, learn and be active; issue resolution and coaching towards work so families and individuals have a brighter future to look forward to.
