    Situation

Mental Health Challenges and Mental Illnesses are huge issue in our communities, and far too many sufferers struggle with independent living. They struggle with budgeting, communicating, activities, community engagement, making friends, effects of medication, and much more. They can come into contact with the Criminal Justice System, not because they have criminal minds but because they are confused. And stays on mental health wards are all too frequent. This cycle has to be broken.

    Solution

Any support that is currently available to this vulnerable group tends to be temporary, aiming for recovery & independence. Our Outreach Programme is ongoing, and provides practical & emotional support that helps our clients reach their personal goals, to keep them safe and secure, avoiding the crises that can result in Section Orders or contact with the CJS. We help with budgeting, online access, community activities, training programmes, while giving relief to families who worry about them.
