To support the children in our 3 Berkshire centres struggling to self regulate, manage their emotions and behaviours. We also want to help families of our children, who can feel isolated, tired and mentally drained from the demands of looking after a child with additional needs and disabilities.

We are seeing a huge array of emotional issues amongst our centre children, manifesting in sensory seeking behaviours, challenging behaviours, inability to settle in our settings and difficulty regulating behaviours. We are needing to alter our approach to the specialist provision we offer to increase our time and focus on emotional and social development. Parents are also reaching out for wider emotional support as they juggle the uncertainty of the economic situation with the existing demands
We will increase the 1:1 support we are able to provide to children and support them to find ways to manage their own behaviours in difficult moments. We will fund local trips to offer new outdoor experiences. We will be able to support the most vulnerable and emotionally challenged children to play alongside and with others. We will fund connect sessions and stay and play sessions which network the families and children, removing isolation and increasing their network of emotional support.
