115 people in the UK die from suicide every week and 43% of adults with mental illness say the long waits for treatment have led to their mental health getting worse (Royal College of Psychiatrists 2022). People are not getting access to the mental health support they need; two in five people say long wait times are the largest barrier to seeking help. With the suicide rate in the UK increasing, people need an accessible, early intervention before they reach a crisis point.

Beder Therapy Vouchers removes barriers to seeking help with mental health by providing free therapy. Those referred or self-referring will be assessed by a psychologist within 2 weeks enabling the services to be available to those who need it with minimal delay. Those in most need will be offered a minimum of 3 x 50 minute online sessions with a psychologist, complimented with access to an iCBT platform for one year. We hope to expand this, reaching many more people if funding can be secured.
