We are raising funds for a pilot mental health support programme for people in Kent living with MS, other long-term conditions, and their carers. The pilot project will provide group and one-to-one support to participants, improving their mental health and wellbeing.

Beneficiaries
Our charity supports people living with multiple sclerosis (MS), other long term-term health conditions, and carers - all of whom are more likely to experience psychological difficulties than the general population. MS is linked with a wide range of psychological difficulties, and depression and anxiety are also associated with other long-term conditions. Carers can also feel more stressed, anxious and depressed as a result of their caring role.
Our members have told us they would welcome more support with their mental health. We therefore aim to pilot a programme of one-to-one therapy and group support sessions for carers and those with MS and other long-term health conditions. We will also evaluate the impact of the support on their mental health and wellbeing. Those benefiting from the project will be helped to use a range of coping techniques and strategies to better manage their mental health and wellbeing.
