Wild Futures' Monkey Sanctuary, Est. in 1964, is home to monkeys rescued mainly from situations of abuse and neglect from the UK primate pet trade. Devastatingly, the sanctuary is facing threat of closure due to the huge financial impacts of the last few years, putting the rescued monkeys at risk!

After nearly 60 years of providing specialist care for monkeys, Wild Futures' Monkey Sanctuary is facing the very real reality of having to close. The Covid-19 pandemic forced the charity into spending their reserves to get through that extremely uncertain time. Now with the cost of living crisis and increasing monthly outgoings, Wild Futures' Monkey Sanctuary continues to face huge financial difficulties putting the promise of a home for life for the rescued monkeys in danger.

Wild Futures launched an appeal to Save the Monkey Sanctuary in October 2022. Since then they have raised £100,000 which has been fundamental in seeing them through the winter. With outgoings of £50,000 a month they desperately need to raise money to cover those costs whilst rebuilding their reserves to continue as a sustainable organisation, and provide sanctuary to primates rescued from the UK primate pet trade. This campaign will be crucial in helping us reach that goal!
