The Highlands & Islands Environment Foundation has the sole aim of supporting community-based projects which will restore and regenerate the area's natural beauty, biodiversity and ecosystems, amid unprecedented wildlife and climate challenges.
Solution
Spanning almost half of Scotland, the area is famous for its rich biodiversity, rare flora and fauna, and intricate marine ecosystems, but there have been dramatic and alarming reductions in the numbers and varieties of plants and animals over recent decades. The Highlands & Islands Environment Foundation supports community-based projects which will restore and regenerate the area's natural beauty, biodiversity and ecosystems, amid unprecedented wildlife and climate challenges.
