On 2023’s 100th day we will encircle parliament with 100,000 people demanding an immediate moratorium on new fossil fuel investment. All proceeds from this campaign will be donated to Extinction Rebellion.

Government inaction on the climate emergency. Several years ago the UK government declared a climate and biodiversity emergency. Since then there has been continued inaction and backtracking on actions to actually address these emergencies. Five years of campaigning has shifted public opinion on the climate emergency but failed to realise practical action. The public's right to self-advocate for change is diminishing due to sanctions making it near on impossible for them to be heard.

We will solve the problem through maintaining momentum and accountability. Running alongside 100 days, from April 2023 we will: 1. Accelerate recruitment, expanding the network of communities, to a social tipping point (3.5% of the population), further exposing government's continued inaction; 2. Facilitating intersectionality to better represent the people's voice on the climate emergency; 3. Data systems investment to strengthen awareness of campaigns
