75% of adults are worried about climate change (ONS, October 2021) and the most vulnerable in our society are most negatively impacted. However, the lack of guidance, and clear practical advice has left many feeling confused and, as a result, nearly a third of the population feel it will be too expensive to make changes, and they would have no effect on tackling climate change. We need to engage and empower the population to understand the personal relevance of the climate crisis and act.

We have already built a thriving community both online and at the Hub that are taking action to address sustainability. Our events and activities inspire and animate a wide range of people through focusing on positive actions and solutions that they can embed in their lives every day. Already Greener & Cleaner has become a dynamic network of over 7,000 people across South East London making change in whatever way they can, and empowering everyone to make a change and preserve our environment.
