Today we are more disconnected with nature than we were just a few decades ago. This limits the contexts that we can draw on for understanding biodiversity, conservation and the environment, as well as our ability to engage with the crises facing our world, such as climate change, biodiversity loss and plastic pollution. Without positive exchanges with others working in similar contexts, it is easy to become isolated and disheartened and spend time replicating work.

A Rocha’s environmental education (EE) promotes the enjoyment, care and sustainable use of the earth’s resources. A Rocha International gives hands-on training and provides exchange visits to share best practice and lessons learned among EE and conservation practitioners in different contexts. Through creative and innovative ideas using music, poetry, theatre, art and scientific study, practitioners are being equipped to reimagine a new way to care for and protect people and nature.
