Climate Ed is an educational charity which teaches children about climate change. We operate across London and have worked with many schools delivering assemblies and workshops about all aspects of climate change. We aim to educate children about the problem and inspire them to begin taking action.

Climate change is the top environmental issue children are concerned about but only 4% feel they are taught enough about it in school. Also 75% of teachers feel they haven’t received adequate training to teach about the subject. At the same time, there are so many things we can all do to help - in fact, 32% of the emissions reductions needed by 2035 depend on us making lifestyle changes. Climate Ed empowers children and their families to act to achieve these reductions. We aim to give a voice to young people who are anxious about climate change, and make it easier for them to feel confident and do something positive about the issue.
Our key aims are to: - Increase understanding of climate change among children and what they can do about it. - Inspire children and their families to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions (in domestic energy, travel, food and general consumption). - Reduce climate anxiety among children by making them feel empowered to take action. We do this by sending trained Climate Ed volunteers into schools to deliver a structured programme of workshops about carbon literacy and climate action.
