We collect good surplus food and share it with local community groups to stop it going to waste. This protects the environment and nourishes our community. Your donation will help towards our food redistribution costs, rescuing 150 tonnes of good food - enough for 350,000 meals.

An astounding 1/3 of food is wasted in the UK - enough to feed the entire UK population 3 meals a day for 11 weeks. This waste contributes 30% of the UK’s carbon footprint and puts pressure on nature. A land area the size of Wales is needed to grow the food we waste. Stopping food waste could mean more land available for biodiverse ecosystems. Meanwhile, our communities are under increasing pressure due to the pandemic and squeeze on living costs and community groups struggle for resources.

We collect good surplus food and share it with local community groups to stop it going to waste. Our 130 trained volunteers collect food from supermarkets, suppliers and farms 7 days a week. This fruit, veg, bakery, dairy, meat and ready meals is shared between our 50 partner groups to provide snacks, meals and food for people to take home, reaching 3000 people each week. Our Taste Not Waste campaign busts the myths about food dates, storage and portions to make our food at home go further.
