Worcestershire Wildlife Trust manages 80 nature reserves, ranging from ancient woodlands to wildflower meadows, from flood reducing marshlands to traditional orchards. Each reserve faces challenges that can include invasive species, and lost paths. Help us maintain these precious places.

An extraordinary amount of ordinary work goes into maintaining our reserves: 1000s of metres of fence repairs, path & pond clearing, coppicing and glade creation. And then there’s all the fun stuff: laying hedges, putting up bat, bird and dormouse boxes, making wildlife winter sheltering spots from fallen trees. All this necessary work across the 12.5 kilometres we manage is done largely with volunteer support and costs the Trust around £600,000 each year. A big fundraising challenge!
To keep our reserves home to growing numbers of fragile, threatened species, our amazing team of staff and volunteers put in 1000s of hours to the mammoth task of keeping habitats in peak condition for wildlife. They are out in all weathers, and we dedicate a lot of time and resources to training them in conservation management. Training and the right equipment will ensure they can work consistently and safely,
